GABRIELA MOSCOSO

about

A native of Queens, NY, Gabriela Moscoso made her Carnegie Hall debut last year in Dante's Paradise, a new work by composer Georgia Shreve. Under the baton of Alan Gilbert, Ms. Moscoso had the honor of performing in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the New York Philharmonic. Theater credits include Ariel in Footlose, Gabriella in High School Musical and Amy Lee in Laundry and Bourbon. In 2013 she participated in the One-Act Play Festival at the City College of New York where she was featured in three plays. Opera roles include, Nanetta in Falstaff with Catherine Malfitano's Junior Opera Theater, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro with Long Island Opera, and soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with conductor Ira Spaulding and the Park Slope Singers. In 2016, Gabriela won First Alternate in the New York Lyric Opera Competition and was granted a scholarship to study at Musiktheater Bavaria under the tutelage of Kim Josephson, JoAnn Kulesza and others. Ms. Moscoso is a proud graduate of the Manhattan School of Music.

Gabriela is currently chasing her dream in two worlds, one in the land of Musical Theater and the other in Opera - where her heart has always lived!
